Camp GOTR

New for 2018! Camp GOTR will provide a one-of-a-kind opportunity for girls to develop self-confidence and learn life skills they can use they grow.  

PROGRAM DETAILS Camp GOTR combines the best of Girls on the Run with all the fun of camp! During each week-long session, 3rd – 5th grade girls will build friendships in a fun and inclusive setting that includes interactive games, being physically active, and expressing creativity through art & crafts and storytelling. 

Each day of camp will include a four hour block of small group GOTR programming using either the "Girls Have Heart" or "Girls Have Power" curriculum. The other four hours of the camp day will include various activities including field trips, swimming, hiking, yoga, soccer, healthy cooking and a community impact project.

Girls may register for 1, 2 or all 3 weeks

   Camp GOTR: Girls Have Heart  June 11-15,  9:00am-5:00pm, Wilkesboro

Throughout the week, girls will have fun exploring friendships with activities designed to discover what makes a good friend and how to be a good friend to others. Girls will build, create, write, discuss, connect, and laugh all while participating in games and activities that will leave them feeling confident and appreciated by their teammates.


   Camp GOTR: Girls Have Heart  July 9-13,  9:00am-5:00pm, Boone

Throughout the week, girls will have fun exploring friendships with activities designed to discover what makes a good friend and how to be a good friend to others. Girls will build, create, write, discuss, connect, and laugh all while participating in games and activities that will leave them feeling confident and appreciated by their teammates.


   Camp GOTR: Girls Have Power  July 23-27, 9:00am-5:00pm, Boone 

 During this dynamic week-long session, girls will learn about the power they possess to recognize emotions in themselves and others, and how to express their feelings through fun and interactive activities such as “Emotion Detective”, building workshops, creative skits, and more!

Eligibility:

Any girl who is a rising 3rd - 5th grader


Fees: 

$100 per week: includes t-shirt, water bottle and journal
